Billie Jean was found living stray near Murray Family Farms. The wonderful people there were feeding her, but no one could seem to catch her. After setting a trap, Billie Jean was finally brought to safety with No Kill Kern. She settled into a foster home in the knick of time - Billie Jean was pregnant! Early in the morning on 5/7, Billie Jean delivered one puppy in her foster home. She was struggling to birth the others and was taken to Bakersfield Vet Hospital where she received an emergency C section. Billie Jean gave birth to 5 puppies - 3 girls named Cherry, Apple, and Peaches and 2 boys named Pistachio, and Cashew. The decision was made to bottle feed the babies. Because Billie Jean was feral we wanted to start her rehabilitation right away and we especially wanted the puppies to be safe. In just the first week or two or Billie Jean's rehab she's come a long way. She is doing well on leash and even giving the occassional kiss! Stay tuned as Billie Jean continues to grow and learn!!
